About Tamima
I know what it means to build a life across countries and cultures.
My journey has taken me from Zimbabwe, to New Zealand, and now Australia, carrying pieces of each place while never fully belonging to just one. Migration can open doors, but it can also bring loneliness, identity shifts, and the quiet feeling of living between two worlds.
From the outside, it often looks like strength.
On the inside, it can feel heavy, confusing, and deeply tiring.
My story is also shaped by early pregnancy loss and the reality of being a loss mother — loving a child you cannot hold, while the world keeps moving as if nothing happened.
In many of our cultures, this kind of grief is hidden. We stay strong, we stay silent, and we carry the pain alone. But silence does not heal. Being seen does.
This is what led me to counselling.
I created Werner Foundation to be the kind of space many of us never had —
a space that feels safe, real, culturally aware, and free from judgement.
A space where you don’t have to explain your background just to be understood.
A space where grief, depression, migration, faith, identity, and exhaustion can all be spoken about honestly.
My approach is gentle, grounded, and human.
I don’t believe in pretending pain isn’t there.
I believe in sitting with people inside it — and helping them slowly find strength, dignity, and hope again.
While my journey is shaped by migration and loss, this space is open to everyone — across culture, faith, and background.
Because at the core of it all, we are simply people trying to survive hard things and find our way forward.
If you are carrying more than anyone can see,
you are welcome here.
You don’t have to carry it alone.
About Werner Foundation
Werner Foundation: Counselling, Care & Confidence was created as a safe place for people carrying stories that are often lived quietly — especially those navigating life far from the place they once called home.
For many migrants, strength is expected. We keep going, we adapt, we survive, and we rarely speak about the loneliness, grief, depression, or identity loss that can come with starting again in a new country. Pain is often hidden to protect family, culture, or dignity. Over time, that silence can become heavy.
Werner Foundation exists to gently break that silence.
This is a counselling space where your full story is welcome — your culture, your faith, your questions, your grief, and the parts of life that feel difficult to explain to others. You do not need to minimise your pain or pretend to be strong here. You are met with compassion, respect, and deep cultural understanding.
A special part of this work is supporting early pregnancy loss — a grief that is profoundly real, yet in many cultures remains unspoken or minimised. Many mothers carry this sorrow quietly, without acknowledgement, ritual, or space to heal. At Werner Foundation, this loss is honoured with tenderness and dignity. Your baby, your grief, and your story matter.
Support is also offered for depression, emotional overwhelm, migrant grief, identity transitions, and rebuilding confidence after life has changed. Whether you are adjusting to a new country, processing loss, or simply feeling lost within yourself, counselling here is gentle, grounded, and centred on restoring hope at your own pace.
Werner Foundation is intentionally inclusive — welcoming people of all cultures, backgrounds, and faiths. While the heart of the work is shaped by migrant experiences, the space is open to anyone seeking compassionate, culturally aware emotional support.
At its core, Werner Foundation is about three things:
Counselling that listens deeply.
Care that honours your story.
Confidence that helps you begin again.
You do not have to carry this alone.
